Finding Beauty in Any Weather

The garden experienced its first hard frost last week, killing off the remaining swiss chard and celery.  Radish, spinach and carrots are still good, however, as they are covered.  And hardy kale and brussels sprouts will be able to be harvested for some time to come.

One of the gardeners stopped by to photograph the garden in the grips of the hard frost, and the photos show off the plants in a whole new way.  As much as we regret the passing of summer, the beauty still to be found in the garden provides a sense of wonder and enjoyment as the cold and wind takes over.
